CPM EXPOSED ITS INTENTIONS, ASKS CENTRE TO HANDOVER BHUTAN TO CHINA.

An unsigned editorial in the latest edition of Party mouthpiece People's Democracy has said the stand-off between India and China on the Doklam Plateau, adjoining the tri-junction between India, China and Bhutan, “has assumed more serious proportions...because of the deterioration in the overall relations“ between India and China.

Saying that the present dispute does not pertain to any border area between China and India, the editorial said, “The Modi government must realise that there is no alternative to settling the recurring disagreements on the border except through negotiations."

It added, “It is also important to keep in mind that Bhutan is the main party in the dispute. Bhutan is not a “protectorate“ of India.“ The opinion piece also said, “It must be underlined that Bhutan has been negotiating with China directly on its border issues since 1984.

The unsigned editorial has specifically said, "Let Bhutan alone negotiate with China," and also blamed India's growing strategic ties with the US for the deteriorating relations with China.

Politics of Convenience is now convinced that CPM  is gradually getting opened to its agenda in India. They want first India to hand over Kashmir to Pakistan, Bhutan and Arunachal to China and then stop claiming sovereignty over PoK and Gilgit-Baltistan. Moreover, this will help the complete dominance of China over this part of Asia, by encircling India from all sides through the OBOR, CPEC and strategic navy port at Gwadar in Pakistan.
